Internship Experience @ OP Khaitan & Co, New Delhi: Wide Range of Work, Wonderful Work Environment

Khaitan & Co. has an office located at Defence Colony, New Delhi, and comprises of an excellent team of Solicitors and Advocates. Application Procedure? Internship contact details? Send a cover letter and C.V to arihant@opkhaitan.co.in. Timings? Number of working days per week? The office is working 6 days a week. The timings are 10am to 6pm. However, one may have to stay back depending upon the workload. Accommodation: How? Where? Reviews? Since I am based in Noida, accommodation was not an issue, however PG accommodation or hotels can be found close by. First Impression? First day? Formalities? The Office is very elegant. The Associates are young and very helpful. I was asked to peruse and research on a case and proofread a few agreements as the first task. There were no formalities other than having a short word with the head and meeting your mentors. Main Tasks? Main tasks include research, drafting of agreements, comparing and proof reading. Work Environment? People? The work environment of O. P. Khaitan & Co. is wonderful. The Interns are given a separate space to work in. The people are also very warm. My Mentor, Ms. Roopa Dayal, was a very hard working and inspiring person. I learned a lot under her tutelage. Best things? We are allowed to work at our own pace and take breaks when needed. The interns are entrusted with a wide range of tasks that include research, drafting agreements and opinions and proof-reading. Also, working with some of the biggest names in the Country can be quite exciting!
